Dear Yoga: Thank You

Yoga practice...not yoga perfect:)Dear Yoga,

Thank you. Thank you for that practice this morning.

Thank you for the time. Time to surrender. Time to allow myself to relax. Time to be present.

To bring awareness to my body and its space in time.

To bring awareness to my thoughts. To wash them away. To elevate them.

To bring awareness to my soul. To the feelings I’m having. To let me acknowledge them.

To bring me peace. To bring me serenity.

To bring awareness to my breathing.

To allow me to let go.

To FEEL alive.

To set intentions.

To do my best.

To be flexible in all senses.

Thank you for letting me meditate. For bringing me to a state of mindfulness.

For a sense of perfection. Of my own perfection. For the perfection of the moment.

Thanks for not judging me. For letting me be enough.

Thank you for challenging me. For allowing me to grow.

Thank you for letting me dip deep.

Thank you for letting me practice.

Thank you for flow and fluidity.

Thank you for patience with myself.

Thank you for forgiveness.

Thank you with all my heart and soul.

Namaste

Brittany

  1. My favorite part is “thank you for letting me be enough.” Whenever I don’t feel like I’m enough, taking a yoga class makes me feel 100% better. I’m never afraid to fall over or sit back in child’s pose or head into an early savasana, because I know whatever I am there, on my mat, it is enough.

This is so beautiful. Thanks for writing!
